  1. PASTING BITMAPS FROM OTHER APPS

  4. 1. Switch to the app containing the bitmap image.
  5.  
  6. 2. Select the image, then copy it to the clipboard.
  7.  
  8. 3. Switch to Sound Ideas.
  9.  
  10. 4. Select PASTE from Sound Ideas' Main Menu
  11.  
  12. 5. Move the mouse to the position where you wish to place the captured
  13.    bitmap.  Left-click to place the image on the whiteboard.
  14.  
  15. A sizing window will appear as you position the mouse cursor.  The captured
  16. window will be sized to fit in the whiteboard.

  19. CAPTURING WINDOWS

  22. This is a short explanation on how to capture windows into the white board.
  23.  
  24. 1  Select CAPTURE from Sound Ideas' Main Menu.  The Sound Ideas window
  25.    will temporarily hide itself.
  26.  
  27. 2. Left-click on the TITLE BAR of the window you wish to capture.  Sound
  28.    Ideas will reappear allowing you to place the selected window on the
  29.    current board.
  30.  
  31. 3. Move the mouse to the position where you wish to place the captured
  32.    window.  Left-click to place the window.
  33.  
  34. A sizing window will appear as you position the mouse cursor.  The captured
  35. window will be sized to fit in the whiteboard.

  37. When the window is placed on the whiteboard, a link is established between
  38. the whiteboard and that window.  Each time you refresh the current board
  39. contents, the current contents of the linked window is copied to the
  40. whiteboard and sent to the remote machine.  All local links are broken when
  41. the remote machine refreshes the current board.  Likewise, all remote links
  42. are broken when you refresh the current board.

  48. DO NOT RIGHT-CLICK while Sound Ideas is hidden.  This results in Sound Ideas
  49. remaining hidden and you will lose access to the application.  This only
  50. happens when running under Windows 95.  This is due to an inconsistency
  51. between previous versions of Windows and Windows 95.  This should be resolved
  52. in the registered version of Sound Ideas.

  55. If this does occur, use CTRL-ALT-DEL and shutdown Sound Ideas' task.
